Paisley's Story...
PAISLEY is an adorable black Lab/Retriever mix female who wandered up to a home in the country in NW TN a few weeks back. She wandered off and then back to the home a few times before the people called the rescue and asked for help since they could not keep her. We have no idea where she originally came from. The vet estimates that she is 8 months old. She weighs 46 pounds. She has been vetted, vaccinated, and will be spayed and microchipped this week. She tested negative for heartworm. All who have met her say Paisley is sweeter than sweet and super cute! She sleeps with one paw over her eyes. She seems inquisitive and smart. She likes people and seems to get along well with other dogs. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Paisley if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care she has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paisley, a Union City Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Union City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
