Archie's Story...
Meet the adorable adoptable ARCHIE. He is good with dogs and cats and a very sweet gentle dog. He was fine during his vet visit and did not make a peep. He is fully vetted, fixed, shots etc prior to his arrival and microchipped. This little guy will make a great family member for almost anyone as well as a good apartment dog. To apply to adopt Archie, email joansdogs@aol.com
Saving Older Beagles matches the dog to the right home for that dog. All applicants are screened and a home visit is required to adopt. Archie fit right into his dog pack and is in a foster home now in Connecticut.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a New York Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in New York, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
