About Animal Rescue Front, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

ARF started in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and because of the shocking treatment we saw many animals in the Deep South endure and the extremely high kill rates in their shelter systems we have stayed committed to helping animals with a focus in the state of Mississippi. Many of these wonderful animals would be killed in a shelter or abandoned outside if not for our continued efforts.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoptions fees are based on the state you live in. If you are a Massachusetts resident we are required by the Dept. of Agriculture to quarantine for a minimum of 48hrs. the animal you adopt from us. The cost for this quarantine is $120.00 per animal. Our fees are as follow:

Adult dogs 13 months to 5 years - MA resident $475, all others $425.00.
Adult dogs +5 years of age - MA resident $375, all others $325.00
Puppies 12 months and younger - MA resident $550, all others $500.00.

If pre-adoption neutering is not an option for your pup, a refund of $70 will be given to the adopter when proof of neuter is presented to us. Our adoption donation covers the transport to New England and exceptional vetting from our local veterinary teams down south, and local quarantining in MA. As well we reimburse our local rescues down south so they can continue their life saving mission. We do require you to fill out an application and provide a vet reference, and a home inspection may be requested. Every animal we adopt MUST be spayed/neutered and we reserve the right to request proof of this. Our adoption application is on our website at:

Thanks for rescuing!

Please note - we will not adopt a puppy to anyone who is not willing and committed to ensuring their new family member never reproduce. Spaying and neutering your pet contributes to efforts to reduce unwanted and homeless animals in the United States and your animal will be healthier. Our adoption fees are nonrefundable after 30 days. If for whatever reason your adoption is not suitable to you or your adoptee we require the animal be surrendered to us.
