I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Hi, my name is Spice and I consider myself one very lucky dog. My owner passed away and I was taken to the shelter, where the family that turned me in, said I was old, had a tumor and to just put me to sleep. I heard that and thought, “WHAT? I have a lot of life to live and a whole lot of love to still give.” Fortunately, the shelter called Arizona Golden Retriever Connection. AZGRC’s shelter volunteer flew down to the shelter. Well, she took one look at my extremely long toenails, the big open tumor on my leg, my not-so-Golden Retriever ears and then she looked in my eyes. I walked out of the shelter and into my new life. My toenails were trimmed and I can walk so much better. The tumor is gone and my leg is almost healed. But my ears still stand up. My foster Mom say I am the sweetest dog in the world. I like to go for walks. Mainly I just like to hang out and be a part of your life. If you would like to spice up your life, then I am the perfect girl for you. Training: Housebroken, walks well on a leash Compatibility: Good with other dogs, cats unknown Activity Level:: Low key but likes a short walk Status:: Available

Our Adoption Process...
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescued Golden Retrievers, we ask that you first fill out an application. If and when you are approved, then you can let us know what kind of Golden you are interested in adopting, (age, sex, color, activity level,) and our adoption committee will pair you with one of our current rescued Goldens, or alert you as soon as the dog of your dreams enters our system. Or, you are more than welcome to browse through our list of available goldens and tell us what dogs you'd like to meet based on their descriptions and pictures. If you have any questions or comments, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
