Aubrey's Story...
Hi, my name is Aubrey (Brie for short). They say I look like an Egyptian Princess with the shape and coloring of my face and eyes that melt your heart. I love to cuddle with my foster mom on the couch... actually I just love to be held and loved on. I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home and am both house trained and crate trained. I love playing with my dog toys and nylabones are my favorite chew toy. I sleep quietly through the night in my crate as long as I can be close to my person. I am so glad Habitat 4 Paws saved me in the nick of time, although I did test positive for heartworms when I got out of the shelter. My treatment has been completed and I am now ready to find my forever home. Can I come curl up in your lap? I promise to be a truly devoted, loving companion. If you need a sweet lap dog, email info@habitat4paws.org for more on how to adopt me.

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aubrey, a McKinney Chihuahua/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Corgi for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Chihuahua/Corgi dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Corgi breeders who help with Chihuahua/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
