Poi's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Poi's Story...
Meet Poi! She is a 6 year old, 60 pound shepherd mix. If you are looking for a jogging buddy, then Poi is your dog! She loves to run and play! She also enjoys playing with other dogs at doggie daycare. Poi is house-trained and knows several obedience commands like sit, down and shake. She has been spayed and microchipped and her vaccinations are current. Right now, at least, she would probably do best in a home with no small children. Poi is currently going through off leash obedience training -- so her training will be passed along to her new owner. If you are a dog owner who is experienced in working with strong, active breeds like Poi, and would like to include her in your family, please complete an adoption application at and ask to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poi, a Waipahu Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Waipahu, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Waipahu.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waipahu already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waipahu breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waipahu paves the way for another one to be saved.
