Brick is great with other dogs. He has also been raised around cats. His bestest buddy in his former home was a super cuddly cat. Brick has also been raised around children. Any kids in his forever home have to understand that Brick bounces when excited and means no harm. At 100 pounds he may be too much for very small children.
This big guy is as sweet as they come, but needs some work on training. He would do best in a home willing to teach him basic commands, such as jumping to greet his favorite people. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, but his excited greeting of slobbery kisses and saying hello with hugs might not be the best of manners. Brick has never had much of an opportunity to do what Bloodhounds like to do best--sniff and run, run and sniff. We would love for him to go to a home with a secure fence so that he can run and play to his heart's content.
Brick is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is also house trained and crate trained.
If you are interested in giving Brick a home and you have a securely fenced yard, then please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. His adoption fee is $250.
