DAISY (R)'s Story...
Daisy is a cute, sweet little girl. She's actually smaller than she appears in her pictures. She stays quiet in her cage and follows commands. Daisy is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs 48 pounds. She must have caught favor and is the little darling of the shelter employees, because she is being housed in the Puppy/Little Dog Room in cage 300. She is up to date with shots and will be spayed, heartworm tested and micro-chipped upon adoption. Looks like she's had puppies in the past but that won't happen again. Daisy's ID is 589627.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DAISY (R), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
