Delilah is a 10 month old pit bull/bull terrier mix. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and crated trained. She is working on obedience and house breaking but is very smart and should pick it up quickly. She will be microchipped upon adoption. Delilah does like other dogs but tends to play rough so she does still need guidance and supervision when around them. She is still a puppy and is still nippy so she is not recommended around small children. Delilahs breed is a very intelligent and very energetic breed, she must be given the appropriate amount of attention. She will need walks and toys to keep her occupied. Please be aware of this before considering adoption.
About Helping Hearts & Healing Tails Animal Rescue
We are a small foster based rescue, not a shelter, comprised of multiple individuals that open their homes to stray, sick, and forgotten animals in need. We began the rescue in the Ligonier Area to focus on issues of stray, abandoned, and neglected animals. We often took in animals for the local police departments instead of having them sent to animal control. We have since expanded and try to cooperate with the public, other rescues, and other animal groups to assist any animal in need. Our primary focus area for intake though is still the Ligonier Valley. Adoptions can be made to any area as long as the adoption process is completed.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Arrangements can be made to visit with any of our pets, but because we are foster based and do not have one facility, appointments must be made to do so. To visit with a pet, please contact us at 814-421-7078 by phone or text.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption process consists of an initial application for the animal of interest, followed by reference checks (both personal and with a veterinarian), a home visit, and finally if approved an adoption contract. All animals are required to be inside companion pets and the owner must maintain veterinary care throughout the life of the animal.
Adoption fees are $150 for dogs, unless it fostered through us for another rescue and $75 for cats.
All animals are up to date with vaccinations and spayed/neutered before adoption.
