Freya's Story...

This is Freya she aprox 1 1/2 she is a big cuddle bug, she loves to give lots of kisses. For such a young pup she has seemed to have had quite a hard life. She was rescued out of a canal, and was so scared, but never showed any agression. Since in foster care she's grown into an amazing character, she's better with teens and adults as she is a little afraid of young children. She is good with calm older dogs but she does not do well with Hyper dogs or puppies. She would be a great companion dog for someone looking for a young, calm lap dog. If interested in Freya please contact her foster mom Tina at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freya, a Phoenix Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
