Jade #306's Story...
Jade #306 is our lucky girl. Her foster momma worked for three hours straight to coordinate saving Jade on the day she was going to be put down at the shelter. A lot of wonderful volunteers inside and outside of BCRRT worked together to get this girl from San Antonio to Dallas so she could have a chance at a happy life.
Jade is approximately 6-8 months old and weighs about 25 lbs. She has a beautiful pepper coloring on her neck, tummy, and legs along with the gorgeous jet black, wavy coat on her back, topped off with a cute white on the tip of her tail, but what got us most was her fluffy prick ears! As adorable as she is, her personality is one to match. Jade loves to relax on the couch much of the time, but also still has some puppy qualities about her which can be seen when she chases her tail or tries to nibble on her foster mom’s hands. She makes herself right at home and nestles up against you when you’re watching tv. She has several foster siblings and will also sometimes play with them too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jade #306, a Allen Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Allen, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Allen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allen paves the way for another one to be saved.
