Kassie's Story...
Did you ever feel left out or lonely growing up? Kassie can relate. Her previous owners abandoned this delightful German Shepherd mix in an empty apartment. A two-month stay in a Bay Area shelter followed, so by the time she reached us, she could barely contain her joy.

Now she’s with a foster family who shower her with attention! Regular meals! Heat! A comfortable bed! (Doesn’t sound too bad right? Particularly with rents rising in Sonoma and Marin).

An avid walker, Kassie is ready, willing and able to keep you moving. She is gentle, loves to be petted and is the quintessential lady when it comes to taking treats from your hand. She is not a fan of small dogs or cats, as she (quite understandably) does not want them stealing the limelight.

If only we humans were as forthright in asking for what we want, eh? This is your chance. Kassie awaits your visit.

***** PLEASE READ THE LETTER FROM HER FOSTER MOM HERE >>> http://www.lilyslegacy.org/kassie.html.

Kassie has been waiting for a home for months! Please call us and come visit her. 707-787-7010.

Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kassie, a Petaluma German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Petaluma, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Petaluma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Petaluma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Petaluma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Petaluma paves the way for another one to be saved.
