Facts about Layla

  • Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) Mix
  • Color: Brindle - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Layla is approximately 4 years old, UTD on shots, spayed, crate trained, house trained, and gets along with cats and dogs (meet and greets are always a must).

She is a super happy girl and loves carrying toys around and is a major wiggle butt. She is a very affectionate girl who loves to give kisses out to both her human companions and dog companions. One of her favorite things to do is to snuggle with whatever dog will allow her!

This brindle beauty rocked her behavioral evaluation exhibiting no resource guarding or touch sensitivities. Layla does get a little over stimulated in public, but we have been working on this with her! Layla would do great in a home with another dog but could also thrive in a home without another pet.

About Pit Bulls and Jams Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Pit Bulls and Jams is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer based organization dedicated to ending stereotypes of "Pit Bulls" and Pit Bull type dogs through education, advocacy and positive ownership of the bully breeds.

Pit Bulls and Jams main goal is to rally the local music scene together for an AMAZING cause. We coordinate and host music shows/events with local artists and musicians in order raise money for 501(c)(3) Rescues involved with Pit bull or bully breed rescue and rehabilitation. During our events, we speak and provide information about the bully breeds, stereotypes, misconceptions and the truth about these amazing yet misunderstood dogs.

We also do some small scale rescuing of our own; typically one dog at a time and foster them in our home. We will help any animal who is in need or in imminent danger regardless of if they are a dog or not. Our main focus and mission is to raise money for existing rescues and spreading positive Pit Bull awareness.

Our Adoption Process...

Please email us at pitbullsandjams@gmail.com if you are interested in one of our adoptable dogs.

We will then send you our adoption application. From there we will contact references, complete a home visit, followed by a meet and greet with our dog.

If all goes well, we will then enroll you in our 2-week foster-to-adopt program (may be longer for puppies). If at the end of the foster-to-adopt program you would like to adopt our dog, we will have you review and sign our adoption contract.

Adoption fees vary on age of the dog:
Puppies: $350
Adult dogs over 1 year: $250
