Bandit is around 3 years old. He wandered out of the forest up north west of Houston a couple months ago. He was filthy, skinny and suffering from heart worms. Look at this handsome boy now! He is a 15 inch tri colored male who weighs 27 pounds. He is healthy again and ready to find himself a family that will give him the love and care he deserves!
Bandit can be a little possessive of his space, especially when he is snuggled up to you, but he is learning to share. Bandit has become the leader of the pack when a rabbit needs to be tracked down. He has a loud bay that is used only when a varmint has been spotted. A rabbit under the shed can keep him busy for hours! He will play chase with the others but can easily entertain himself.
Bandit is housebroken with the use of a dog door. He had a bladder infection when he first arrived that caused him to mark more than usual for an unaltered male. After his neuter and a course of antibiotics, Bandit is no longer marking in the house. He has pretty good house manners and rarely gets into anything. I think he had a hand in tearing up a dog bed, but he was just caught up in mob mentality!
Bandit loves to snuggle next to you on a chair or in the bed at night. He does sleep at the foot of the bed. He is a sweet and loving boy who has had very little care and attention from a family. When he first came, he would sit at your feel and gaze at you with such longing that it broke your heart. Bandit has turned into a happy boy who is not afraid to ask for a cuddle!
