Important Note

Gilmore is best friends with Tab. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Gilmore is a pretty white and gray tabby who was originally found as a stray with his brother Tab when they were very young. The person who found them kept them outside and as a result, these boys did not receive tons of affection. But, they are making up for it now! Gilmore can be shy with people he doesn't know but he warms up very quickly and has come to know that pets and chin scratches are wonderful things and rewards this behavior with great purrs and biscuits. Gilmore and his brother Tab are a bonded pair and depend on each other for confidence and security. While it is not an adoption requirement, we would like any potential adopter to consider them as a pair rather than individuals. Gilmore is felv-fiv negative, neutered, and current on his vaccines. Please come meet him and his brother Tab today!

About Carroll County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

The Carroll County Humane Society is a NO-KILL Animal Shelter in McKenzie, West Tennessee. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with funding coming entirely from private contributions, fundraising and grants. We care for approximately 250 animals at one time in a building we've purchased and in foster homes. Our goal is to utilize Adoption and Spay/Neuter as our community's animal population control - not euthanasia. We hope to insure that all companion animals have a warm, safe, loving home and to assist and educate the public about proper pet care. We also give shelter to abused animals while assisting law enforcement to prosecute their abusers.
