Tiger's Story...
Tiger is currently living in a foster home in Whitewater, Wisconsin. .

Meet Ms. Tiger. She has been with our rescue for over a year and she is ready to find her forever home. Tiger is about 2-3 years old and a beautiful Dutch Shepherd mix. Her coloring is amazing. She had a slow beginning due to being in bad shape when we found her and was HW +. She has recovered quite nicely and has been treated for HW with a negative retest. She is ready! Tiger has been fostered at a ranch and her foster has told us that Tiger is a working dog, she wants to stay busy and appreciated for all her hard work. She is good with other medium to large dogs and good with older children. If you are looking for a buddy, or someone to help you out on your property...Tiger is your girl.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiger, a Fort Atkinson Dutch Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd dog from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
