My name is Arka and although my story started out a bit sad, I know it’s going to have a blockbuster ending! The Nordic Paws Project found me with an injured hip; I was hit by a car. Animatch took me under their wing and voila ... here I am, happy and healthy and so geared up to start my new life. After doing x-rays on my leg the Vet felt that I did not require extensive surgery – I just need to take it easy until my bones set. I am healing very nicely and I get around just fine. You would really have no idea that I had an injured hip – we dogs are resilient. I am only six months old so I will need lots of exercise and training; someone home during the day would be a must. I do get along with other dogs and can’t wait until I am allowed to play and run with them. I look forward to the day that I can take long walks. For now I enjoy chewing on my Nylabone, playing with my squeaky toys, lying in the sun – cuddles are the best too! I’ve been introduced to the cat and we hit it off. Now I am definitely not hard to love, but what I need just as much as love is commitment. My family must accept me as I am – a pup with lots of zip and a zest for life. I need you to promise that you will keep me safe and take care of me for the rest of my life. In return, I’ll brighten up your days with my charm and undying devotion. Whaddya say? Am I the one?
