found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Mills has a few medical issues. He has a slightly enlarged heart and a mild heart murmur; our vet tells us that the murmur is not uncommon for his breed and is nothing to be worried about. He also has luxating patellas in his hind legs (Grade 1 - the patella can be manually luxated but returns to the normal position when released). Fortunately, his legs don't require surgery and they don't seem to bother him or slow him down. It is recommended that he take a joint supplement. Mills tested positive for heartworms and we have chosen to treat him with the 'slow-kill' method (monthly heartgard and doxycycline every other month for four months); he should be heartworm negative in 8-16 months. Mills needs a family that will continue his treatment and understands that heartworms are not a death sentence. We will provide his adopters with an eight-month supply of Heartgard. Mills' blood work is all normal and showed that his kidney and liver functions are great.
We think Mills is a Poodle/Shih Tzu mix. He's approximately 8 years old and weighs 13 lbs. His shots are up to date through July 2017; he's neutered and taking monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $150. If you'd like to meet Mills, complete an Application at www.freedomringsrescue.org/adopt
