Missy's Story...
Missy is a sweet 6 month old black torte, domestic short haired whom was rescued from a horse farm in Manhattan. Missy loves people, if you sit down she always comes running for attention. At times when the other kittens are playing she likes to sit out and get attentions before going back to playing. She does great with the other foster kittens in the house and loves to play with them. Missy is a little more reserved and docile than the other kittens but gets used to new people quickly. She does well with other cats and dogs. In addition Missy is always tidy and uses the litter box.

All kitties go to their new owners spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and are negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adoption or have any questions, please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Manhattan Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
