Bette Davis's Story...
This dog is ready to travel on 11-13-2016

Bette Davis here. The police department picked me in a nearby town and some nice folks came to my rescue. I am happy go lucky sort of dog who makes friends easily. My two best friends are about the same size as me. Cats have not interested me much so far. I enjoy walks, running and sometimes I like to sit in a wading pool. Chickens interest me a lot so it is best I not go near them. Give this dachshund a chance, I will make a great friend.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit and a meet and greet.

Please note that preference will be given to Wisconsin adoptions, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bette Davis, a Fort Atkinson Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
