Michonne's Story...
When you find your home with people that you love, you assume it will be your safe place forever. You build a happy home with the ones you love and can't imagine, even for a second, that it could ever be taken away. But what if the person who took it all away was the one person who was meant to love you forever? This is what happened to our dear sweet Michonne. After being abandoned by her owner, she was incredibly scared and sad. Being left at the shelter was her nightmare come true, and for this poor soul, she probably couldn't imagine things ever getting better. At around two years old, she's been through a lot already.

But now in her foster home, she has proven herself the perfect cat. Incredibly gentle and playful, Michonne is as sweet as they come. She is even great with other cats! Once Michonne gets really comfortable with you, she will SNORT in excitement! Yes, you read that right, this little darling actually snorts if she gets excited. Snorting must be the sign of pure joy because after her ordeal, Michonne certainly has come to know happiness in her new life. If you're the one to give this bundle of love her real life furever home, please email us at info@teamcatrescue.ca -- we can't imagine why someone would ever give up this adorable beauty, but one thing we do know is that she will make someone the happiest pet owner ever for many years to come.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michonne, a THORNHILL Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in THORNHILL, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in THORNHILL.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in THORNHILL already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a THORNHILL breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in THORNHILL paves the way for another one to be saved.
