Nala is such a chill sweet girl. Our best guess is that she's a large Shih Tzu-Poodle mix, weighing in at 21 pounds. We are guessing Nala is 4-6 years old.
Nala loves toys and bones and walks. She hasn't an aggressive bone in her body, and is not an anxious dog. Typical of a Shih Tzu she's cool and calm. She enjoys the company of her 5-year-old foster brother but isn't the kind of personality who needs canine siblings.
Nala would be a good choice for a retired person or couple looking for an easy, loving, affectionate dog who's good with children and enjoys a walk each day.
Nala hasn't had the easiest life, her previous family ditched her at a busy shelter where she became sick. We'd love to find her a true dog-loving family able to provide her with the best food, medical care, and lots of time and love.
Nala is fully vetted and spayed with a rabies vaccine, DA2PPV, H3N2 flu vaccine, and Bordatella vaccine, heartworm and fecal tests, and is microchipped. She is kept on monthly flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative.
Nala's adoption fee is $250.

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Munster, Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. Adoption fees range from $150-$350. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
