Facts about Huey

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Huey is a great guy with special needs. He was a barn cat who was forced to hunt for his food (mice) with other cats. Somehow he got hurt - the vet thinks he was probably kicked; his pelvis was broken and his spine was hurt. He could no longer hunt so he lost a lot of weight and the other cats started attacking him.

A good samaritan stepped in and brought him to us to care for medical needs. He can walk and jump but he doesn't walk on his back feet - he walks more on his hocks.

Huey isn't feral but he's a little shy. Once he decides your safe he is SUPER affectionate. He has never hissed or shown any aggression, even when he was uncomfortable.

Huey would do best in home with out very small children. He's been introduced to cats and dogs and is doing well with them. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and Leukemia/FIV tested.

About ACT V Rescue and Rehabilitation

About Our Rescue Group...

ACT V Rescue & Rehabilitation was created when 4 friends banded together with a singular passion - to do what we can to eradicate animal suffering in our neighborhoods. Each of us has a lifetime dedication to animal welfare and rescue.

Since ACT V Rescue & Rehabilitation founders include Veterinary professionals, we are uniquely qualified to treat the specific challenges presented by this group of sick, injured and emotionally neglected animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster-based rescue group. Our pets are seen in the homes of our foster families but we also participate in PetSmart adoption days.

Our Adoption Process...

We require a completed application, three references, and a home visit. Our adoption fees start at $350 and all our animals are fully Vetted prior to adoption. A final contract is also signed and we currently do not adopt out of state.
