Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Junie! AKA June bug and Junie B. Jones (if you've read those books, you really don't need to read any more about me - 'cuz you know me already!). I'm a true-blue terrier. I'm milky white with sandy/buff patches and ears and I'm about 40 pounds. I LOVE to play with Wheeler, my current housemate (also available through K9 Kindness), we get along together just great! I still pull a LOT on the leash, but Wheeler has set great examples for me for breakfast and dinner, so I've got this 'sit' thing down, and I even stay now until I get the 'okay' to go to my dish after it's been set down. I am mostly easy-going and happy, but when I first came to live with my foster family, I tried to dig out of the yard and run away. Like many terriers I startle easily, but other than that, I am a happy girl.
I REALLY, REALLY want to go in the cat room, and based on the way I chase a squirrel or rabbit if they're in the yard when the back door opens, I think I'd be a great hunter! If the cats were free to come out of their room, I'm pretty sure I could catch one! For now, we kind of have a game going: I hang out by their door when 'mom' is home and talk to them. They send through a toy mouse under the door, and I'm off with my prize! It's like I've got them trained to be my own "vermin vending machine!" It's really fun, and I've gotten lots of 'mice' this way! It took mom awhile to figure it out - like when I'd chewed the furry mice all the way down to their little leather ears and face......that's when she took it away from me. Too bad the kitties didn't get the message to not offer up any more sacrifices! YUM!!!!
Don't you want to take me AND Wheeler home together? We have tons of fun together. Who needs toys when we have each other? Actually Wheeler doesn't need any toys.........I've slowly collected all of them into my kennel. I LOVE my kennel!. I am ready to find my forever family, so hope to hear from my special someone soon!
