Jethro's Story...
Jethro is a precious chi who was brought in to a local vet with a broken hip and pelvis! The vet repaired Jethros broken bones and reached out to one of our volunteers for help! He's now in a foster home and doing wonderful! He's believed to be around 5 years old and weighs close to 10lbs. He's a happy little guy! He loves other animals! We haven't had him around children! He will use a doggy door. He's utd, hw negative (tested below detectable levels) and neutered!

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jethro, a Grand Bay Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
