Brantley's Story...
10-17-16 Brantley and his brother Walter came to us through a divorce situation. While they have been loved, they've only been outside dogs, often free roaming, so it's a miracle they are both still alive. They LOVE people and do well with other dogs.
They have absolutely no training though and are going to require a home that is patience and willing to put in the time and work it takes to acclimate them to living in a "real" home.
Brantley is the more laid back of the 2 and doesn't jump up often. He's got less "puppy" energy and will probably be ok in a home with or without another dog. With that said, he does love other dogs and enjoys play time very much.
He weighs around 45 lbs.

They are up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention and will be neutered and microchipped soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brantley, a Charlotte Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Irish Setter/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
