Charley's Story...
CHARLEY is a sweet Shepherd mix female who was found as a stray in Troy, TN. She was not claimed while she was at Animal Control so she was rescued in order to save her life. She is still a puppy at around one year old and weighs 27- 30 pounds, and she will likely grow to be a medium-sized dog. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm. She gets along well with the other dogs at her foster home. She is currently in a foster home, but needs a family who can provide more one-on-one time for training and to provide the attention, exercise and play time a younger dog needs. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Charley if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care she has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charley, a Union City Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Union City, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
