Our staff had to physically carry him for the first couple of days because he was too frightened to walk on his own. Bruno is coming out of his shell at his own pace. First, he walked from his crate to the yard on his own. Next, he took a treat from the hand of a volunteer. While these are small steps, they gave us hope.
Today, Bruno continues to gain confidence and is learning to enjoy being a dog. Bruno absolutely loves spending time with other dogs at the shelter! They run around, play and seek out attention from staff and volunteers. Bruno is much more comfortable approaching people when other dogs are around, but he is learning to trust people on his own as well. He will jump in the laps of staff members and ask to be pet. Bruno continues to improve, but will require a special owner who is willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. This could take weeks, even months... but with patience, Bruno's personality will shine and he will provide you with love and companionship for the rest of his days. Do you have room in your heart and home for a dog like Bruno?
