Rhonda's Story...
"Hello, dog lovers! My name is RHONDA, and I'm a beautiful Chihuahua sweetheart who's looking for a calm and loving home. I'm about three years old, and I came to the shelter with my friend, Dana, after we got lost. I'm pretty overwhelmed here at the shelter, so I stick pretty close to my friend for comfort. I share a kennel with her, but we can be adopted separately. I feel safe and comfortable on someone's lap, so if you're looking for a little lap dog, I'd be a great choice. Once I get used to my new home, I'll be the most loyal companion that you can imagine. I'd do best in a quiet adult home, or I may do well in a quiet home with considerate older kids. The world is a big place, so a tiny gal like me needs to know that she's protected. I've got a lot of love to give, so I hope you'll consider making me a part of your family. I'm ready to climb onto your lap and into your heart. Love, Rhonda"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rhonda, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
