Cookie is a beauty. She is approx 9 months old and weighs 60 lbs.
She and her brother, Biscuit, were rescued by a lady who couldn't stand to see them suffering. They were abandoned, scared, underweight and suffering with skin issues. They are both getting well and look amazing after just a few weeks of love and attention. They are active siblings. Each needs a home where they will be taught the rules of the house. Cookie is a smart girl who would rather be an only dog. She tests boundaries and for that reason, needs a leader (alpha-owner) to keep her in check. With some training, she will learn to be a great companion.
If you can provide the right home for her, please email email@example.com
*****If you would like more information about the dog featured above, be sure to send a note to the "Contact Person." This is the person fostering the dog and they will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please don't just show up at Adoption Day expecting every dog to be there. We are limited by the number of volunteers who can help at each Adoption Day.
Also, in sending your note to the Contact Person, be sure to include information about yourself, family, home, yard, fence, other pets, work situation, and pet accommodations. This information will help us make the best match between you and one of our dogs***

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
