My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SKIPPY is a 3 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 60 pounds. Skippy is great, full of personality, he loves to be with you and to get petted. He is an active but not hyper. Loves to retrieve but is not a nut about it. He would like a home with a fenced yard so he can get exercise without wandering off. Good with other dogs, played with several at shelter and kennel. No cat history. Knows sit, come down and sometimes stay. Will have a training addendum Pulls some on lead better with an Easy Walk. Reported as house and crate trained,. Skippy is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update: Skippy had a wonderful Christmas and New Years with his foster family. He was very well behaved during the activities and enjoyed his people being home for a few days for extra belly rubs! This happy boy crates well, loves people and hardly ever barks. He loves playing with sticks and balls in the yard and is working on learning more formal commands. Skippy doesn't mind a household with a bit of chaos where people are regularly coming and going.

Update: Skippy is a sweet, quiet mellow dog. He is a very handsome 3 year old. He is great at walks and does not bark. He is crate trained and knows his commands sit, stay, crate. He LOVES to play with his people and is a shadow at home. He likes to fetch toys thrown by his people and loves to be petted and rubbed on his belly.

Update: Skippy is a sweet, silly, happy boy who likes to play in the yard and get belly rubs from his people. He would like a home with a 6 ft high physically fenced yard where he can chase balls and sticks. He is approved for Townhome living. Skippy knows the command "sit" and is working on "down". As he's still a young guy, he would probably benefit from formal training. He does well in his crate and is house trained.

Nov 17, 2016: Skippy loves other dogs and crates like a dream. Doesn't seem to be effected by loud noises or a busy household. He is a huge fan of Belly Rubs and knows how to Sit, Stay and Lay Down.

Update: Skippy is doing great at his foster home! He is a no barking dog and is always excited to see his people when they come home. He does well with the teenage kids and loves playing with sticks in the yard. Skippy is doing well with sitting, staying and lying down. He loves belly rubs and pretty much loves following you around everywhere. He loves playing tug a war and especially loves treats. He's a very sweet dog and loves to be petted.

Update: Skippy is a happy go lucky 3 year old black male. He loves being petted and getting affection from his humans. He enjoys walks in the neighborhood and loves seeing other people and other dogs. Skippy rarely ever barks and crates very easily.

Update: Skippy is a sweet 3 year old black neutered male. He is a happy, mellow boy whose tail is always wagging! He loves being petted and hanging out with his humans. He crates easily and walks well on leash. Skippy loves treats and knows how to "sit". He rides well in the car and rarely ever barks. He did well getting a bath at his foster home because he was a little stinky after being at the vet. Overall he's a loving, easy lab.
