Cricket's Story...
Cricket is a Chihuahua with an adorable underbite. We believe she is about 7 or 8 years old. Cricket was found by a man in an industrial parking lot. Krissy was at the Downey Shelter when the man brought her in. She had a large mass on her stomach that Krissy thought was a tumor, but later found out was a very large hernia. On Cricket’s review date Krissy went back to pull her before she could be put to sleep. Cricket was brought directly to the vet where she had surgery for not one, but two hernias. She has now recovered from her hernia surgery and ready to find her forever home. Her foster mom says she is a very sweet girl, gives kisses, is potty trained, and gets along well with her dog pack. Cricket is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cricket, a Capistrano Beach Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Capistrano Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Capistrano Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Capistrano Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Capistrano Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Capistrano Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
