Louise's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Louise's Story...

Louise was at the Downey, CA shelter when GreenDog Foundation discovered her. She is between 2 and 3 years old and we believe part Chihuahua and part pug. She weighs approximately 10 pounds and is full of energy! She loves to play and gets along with all other dogs. She is not timid unless she thinks she is in trouble!  Louise is very, very smart and would do great with a person who can work with her.  She is literally capable of learning anything. Louise is very food motivated and she does have a habit of stealing food if you a™re not looking (we a™re working on that!) and she will play and play and play until she drops from exhaustion.  She has an enormous personality for a little dog!  She can be a barker at times (when she is excited to see you, etc.).  Louise would be great in any environment, but would do best with someone who is around a lot to be able to work with her and train her.  She reminds me of a collie who has to have 'a job' to do.   Louise is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and ready to find her forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louise, a Capistrano Beach Chihuahua/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pug for sale in Capistrano Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pug dog from a breeder in Capistrano Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Capistrano Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Capistrano Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pug breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Capistrano Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
