My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Izzy came to Maltese & More rescue at the request of our local San Diego shelter due to having a heart condition called a PDA. Requiring immediate surgery to correct her heart issue and save Izzy's life, we held a quick fundraiser, applied for grants and within just a couple of days, raised the funds and were able to have her surgery done. Without the surgery, her life expectancy would have been approximately one year.
Izzy came out with flying colors and has recovered nicely allowing her to be released by her heart specialist to be available for adoption.

This sweet 6 month, 5 lbs girl loves to cuddle and wouldn't mind being held and loved on. She has the nicest personality, getting along great with other dogs and cats. Being that she's still a puppy, she is playful and likes her toys. Izzy is learning to walk on a leash and walks with her foster mom in the afternoon to pick up the grandkids from school. She's be socialized around children and would do fine with children 8 years and older.
Being housetrained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and soon to be spayed, Izzy is accepting applications for an awesome home.
Don't let her surgery sway you about considering her for adoption. She requires no follow up vet visits, no limited activity and no medications. Izzy is just as healthy as can be now.
