Facts about Jamie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair

  • Age: Kitten
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10636KH
  • Hair: Short
Estimated Birth Date 07-19-16

Jamie is a super sweet little  guy,  but very timid in the  beginning.  He will look at you with his big eyes and ask you if he is safe and can he be loved like his sister Lacie who is always up for a rub down. Once he feels safe he turns into a cuddly little  purr ball.

Jamie would be better in a home with  older children or just adults  due to his lack of confidence. He will sometimes panic when you pick him up and  bolt from your arms, leaving scratch marks if you don't let go.   This is happening less and less as he continues to gain his confidence  but if a little person doesn't know to let him go, they could end up needing a Band-Aid.

Jamie's  sister Lacie,  is a good match for Jamie if you are looking for a bonded pair.  She is the brave one and helps him feel comfortable  but he is okay to go out on his own to a home that  understands his shyness and can help him gain his confidence through kind words and patience.

Jamie is litterbox trained, up todate on all his  vaccines  and ready to find his forever home.  If you are interested in  this little guy he can be brought to PetSmart Collegeville for a meet and greet.  He is not there on a regular basis because all of the  new people and  barking dogs that keep him  hidden under his bed or behind the litterbox.

About Stray Cat Blues

About Our Rescue Group...

Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray, abandoned, and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.

Stray Cat Blues actively works to find permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our different adoption locations (see Come Meet our Pets section below) to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for our organization. Our cats can also be seen online at

Most of our cats offered for adoption are strays and their offspring that are rescued off the streets.

For those stray cats that are more wary of humans, especially feral cats, we can help humanely trap, sterilize and either return them if the area they live in is safe and they are being fed, or we house them and adopt them out as barn cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application with vet references or a home visit. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our adoption fee is only $95. (Fee can be paid by cash or check at our Petsmart North Wales/Montgomeryville location. At our Collegeville location, the fee can be paid by cash, check, or credit card.)

If you are interested in adopting a cat, you can find our online adoption application at our website - On the side of the page there is a section labeled Quick Adoption Links. Click on the link for application to adopt a House Cat. Click on this link, fill out this short form, and be sure to click Submit at the bottom. One of our Adoption Reps will then contact you within a couple of days to guide you through the adoption process.

Alternately you can complete a paper application at Petsmart when we have SCB volunteers present (see times for adoption showings). Questions - email us at: We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
