Scarface's Story...
There was once a life that was supposed to be so full of love, happiness and safety. A life that was promised but never given, a warm place to sleep, that turned into the cold outdoors, to bitter winters, and dangerous streets... day by day, then month by month, and then year by year, Scarface lived outside. Named by one of our directors for a nose full of cuts when he was caught and neutered years ago, this boy is incredibly special, but has never been given the life he was promised.

We were told he had a loving family and that he was safe, and yet years later, Scarface was still living his life on the streets. Finally, he was reunited with us and brought into foster care, and he's now getting the chance he deserves at a loving, happy furever home, inside from the cold, away from all dangers. For this FIV Friday, we present to you Scarface, a FIV+ kitty looking for love. He is sweet, likes pets and is very gentle. Because of his long, hard past, Scarface would do best in quiet household as the only cat, or with one other gentle female cat, but no dogs. This survivor deserves a great home. We know he will blossom into a wonderful addition to anyone's family. Do you have it in your heart to help sweet Scarface? Please email info@teamcatrescue.ca to give this boy the best gift he's never had: a home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarface, a THORNHILL Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in THORNHILL, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in THORNHILL.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in THORNHILL already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a THORNHILL breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in THORNHILL paves the way for another one to be saved.
