Facts about Tuco Salamanca

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With White
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Tuco is an adorable "Pit Cake" (Pit Bull and Pot Cake mix), who had a horrible start at life when he was consisted by authorities all the way in Grenada, West Indies. All of his litter mates died, except for his brother Skinny Pete, who also flew to the USA and was adopted. Tuco is a typical puppy who loves everyone and playing with all of the other puppies he is currently fostered with. He is very treat motivated, which will make training a breeze. No couch potatoes please. We are looking for a patient home, who is willing to deal with the normal puppy phases.
Tuco loves riding in the car, playing with stuffed animals, and he is currently teething, and loves to chew on fingers and toes!
If you would like to meet Tuco, please go to our website and read about the process and apply for Tuco at www.furkidrescue.org

About Furkid Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Furkid Rescue is a small, private home-based rescue located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We officially started our organized rescue efforts in the spring of 2008, but have been rescuing and working with other rescue groups and local shelters for over 5 years. We take in mainly Pit Bull puppies who have been rescued from gas kill pounds, animal control facilities, backyard breeders, or people who are no longer able to keep their pets. We rarely take in owner’s surrenders unless we find that the owner has a valid reason for abandoning the pet. Furkid Rescue will also save other breeds when there is room in one of our breed-experienced foster homes. You may see mastiffs, chihuahuas, or a fabulous mutt who needs a wonderful home! Please visit our main site to read more about our rescue, our adoption process, and to download an adoption application. www.furkidrescue.org

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a physical location. We try to give our animals the best foster experience possible, not only for their comfort, but to implement training and make sure they are getting the best care imaginable. Once you are approved for an meet and greet, we are more than willing to bring the dog to your home so that you can spend time with the dog(s) of your choice

Our Adoption Process...

There is always an adoption fee to cover medical expenses such as spay/neuter/shots/pound fees.
There is a home check and contract that is required to adopt a dog.
