Kelci's Story...
Kelci is one of those girls who seems permanently pup – in all the best ways, of course! Determined to make 5 the new 2, she’s playful and happy though calms easily and loves a good snuggle (her head in your lap is her favorite place!). Among her favorite things? Stuffies! They make for constant companions as she carries them around in her mouth. While not much on those of the feline persuasion, she does enjoy the company of other greyhounds, as well (but then, who doesn’t?). Curious and smart, she loves treats too, though meals are more for grazing on throughout the day. Her trainers in the prison program adored this little girl and we know the feeling is contagious. Meet her and you’ll understand why! Apply today for the opportunity.

Kelci will be available for in-home meetings with approved adopters beginning 11/4.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kelci, a Spencerville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Spencerville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Spencerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spencerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spencerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spencerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
