(6/24/08) My name is Susie. I lived at some people's house but they just let me run around loose and I almost got hit by a car. Some other people were kind enough to take me in and rescue me. The other people no longer wanted to "deal" with me. I am about 4 1/2 years old and a very playful girl. I loved playing tug-of-war and chase with my kennel mate, bu he passed away in September, 2007, and I miss him so much. I love people and get along with other dogs. I have had the opportunity to play with some of the other dogs at foster home but still miss my buddy. I would really like to find a forever home to live out my life and have someone to love and play with. I am kennel-trained, up to date on shots and spayed. Adoption fee of $125 is required which includes my vaccination, spaying, and rabies vaccine. Won't you please consider giving me my forever home? I'm really a great girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Susie, a Newington Catahoula Leopard Dog/Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Plott Hound for sale in Newington, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Newington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog/Plott Hound breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog/Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newington paves the way for another one to be saved.
