Simba's Story...
The 3 C’s…

The 3 C’s – confident, caring and charming – describe the handsome Buff Tabby cat Simba to a tee!

This handsome boy is a well-rounded and happy cat who likes people and other cats. Simba warmly welcomes anyone who comes into his cat community room and delights in spending time with his visitors.

He likes to take a time out from a petting session to play – cat toys that he can chase as you pull them along are his favorite.

Are you looking for an extremely social cat who will welcome visitors to your home, charm them with his personality and unconditionally love you? Simba is all of this and more! Come meet him to experience his 3 C’s for yourself!

You can meet Simba at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Simba, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
