About Only Kindness Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Only Kindness, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, all volunteer organization whose focus is humane education regarding kindness to animals, responsible pet care and the importance of treating people, animals and the environment with kindness and respect.

Only Kindness, Inc. volunteers rescue, foster and find homes for kittens, cats, puppies and dogs.

Over the last ten years we have saved many lives and helped make many families happy! Many of our adopters have become volunteers and even Board members! We strive to assist families struggling with finances so their pets may continue to receive veterinary care when needed. We provide low-cost spay neuter programs and Trap-Neuter-Return/TNR services. Last year, Only Kindness was instrumental in developing TNR programs and creating approved TNR Ordinances in three municipalities in northern New Jersey!

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts with a personal conversation. We'd like to know what type of kitten/cat you are looking for. Then we would like to learn about your family and the type of living conditions you would provide our foster.
We have a short application, which includes topics from our discussion, as well as a Veterinarian reference and a Personal reference.
Once you have decided on one of our fosters, and he/she will be the right fit for both your family and the kitten/cat, reference checks will be made within two days.
Since we do not have a facility, our volunteers, usually the foster parent, will deliver your new family member to your home once the application is approved.
All our fosters will be up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, FIV/Felk tested and microchipped. If kittens have not yet received vaccinations or spay/neuter, that will still be included in the adoption fee and arrangements will be made at our rescue Veterinary Hospital when age appropriate.
