Cupcake's Story...
Hi, my name is Cupcake! I am a very sweet girl looking for my new family! I would make a great hiking/camping partner, I also love to cuddle up.. I like to think I am a 47lb lap dog! Why not! I am a special girl, as I am LYME Positive, the wonderful folks here at LCHS have started my treatment and I am so thankful! Do you think I would make a good fit in your home? I would like to take a walk with you! I am a Coonhound, about 3 yrs old, current on my vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped, SNAP 4Dx tested- LYME +/Negative x3 and currently being treated for LYME Disease. I do hope you can find room in your heart and home for me! Woof! *Hound breed experience required with vet reference*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cupcake, a New Castle Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in New Castle, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in New Castle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Castle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Castle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Castle paves the way for another one to be saved.
