My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elton, named after Elton John by his rescuer, is a young beagle boy (around one) with lots of energy. When Elton was found, he had a bad leg fracture that took a lot of time and expense to remedy. Other than having a nice scar, and favoring it once in a great while, you would never know anything bad had happened to him. It does not stop him from jumping on and off the furniture either! He is a beautiful dog with exquisite markings, weighing about 25 lbs. and is approximately 15" to the shoulder.

Elton loves to play with some of the dogs in his foster home but not all so, as long as he had an active person or family, he would probably be fine as an only dog. The most important thing to remember about him is that he's young and needs guidance and shaping to bring him to his full potential. Like a human child, he needs boundaries set for him. He is also a fast learner and it only took a couple of times for him to learn that when he's told to get the chew off the couch, to pick it up and jump off with it. He would excel at obedience and probably agility too.
