Hermes von Herten's Story...
Hermes von Herten is an adorable 6-7 month old German Shepherd pup. Our handsome, classic pup might be trying to do the “blue steel” look in his modelling shoot, but he’s really the cutest goofball in real life. He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home – big dogs, small dogs, he doesn’t discriminate! Hermes loves his people, sleeps on the teenage daughter’s bed, and has also been gentle around small kids. Our sweet, affectionate boy can cuddle for hours, and seems to crave human attention. He rides well in the car and will go anywhere and everywhere with you, hoping to never leave your side. Hermes is very loyal to his people and hopes to land a home where his owner is home more, or can take him places with them. He already knows his basic commands, is potty trained, and LOVES to play ball! Perfect on the inside and out, Hermes is ready for his forever home, would you be the lucky one?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hermes von Herten, a Thousand Oaks German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Thousand Oaks, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Thousand Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Thousand Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Thousand Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Thousand Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
