Meet Dutchess. She is a 1.5 year old American Bulldog Mix. Her second birthday will be in March 2017. She was taken to the shelter with another dog as she just had babies and her owner no longer had time to care for them. He told me that Dutchess is a fabulous dog. He said she is very obedient and love loves loves kiddos! She does not have any training but because she listens so well she should be an easier dog to train. She is perfectly housebroken and well behaved. Her previous owner told me she is good with other dogs but I have not tried her with any because of her babies.

She will be spayed and microchipped before she leaves my home. She has had all shots except rabies.

She loves to be around people and that is obvious anytime someone approaches her!

Please complete an adoption application first. Go to http://www.shelteredpaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Adoption_App_Form_2015.docx to download an Adoption Form Questionnaire. Upon completion, email the application back to spdr.app@shelteredpaws.com. If you have specific questions not covered above you MUST phone or text her foster mom, Christina at 513-739-1363.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dutchess, a Cincinnati American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
