My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Aoife and I'm one smart cat! You see, this summer, a woman had her front door open so I walked right in! The woman was horrified to see that I was covered in wounds and maggots, but I wasn't worried about how I looked. I just knew that I needed help so I found it! The kind woman was not in a position to keep me or provide medical care, but luckily she found help for me at Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet. I spent three days at the emergency vet being treated for dehydration and pain, having my wounds cleaned and treated, and having all those creepy maggots removed (I wish them no harm, I just didn't want them on me!). After that, I started seeing one of Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet's regular veterinarians weekly from June through September until I was healthy and strong enough to undergo surgery for a tail amputation and spay. I'm all healed and ready to move on to happily ever after! I am fecal incontinent as a result of my past injuries; I don't go to the litterbox to poo because I don't know that I'm going. I really love people and playing, and if you have another cat(s), I don't mind. If you're patient and willing to love me just the way I am, stop by Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet at 5250 Hill (at Reynolds) and let's go home together!
