My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katie is a mature (9 year old +/-) black and tan dachshund with silver sparkles on her face, back, and feet and the sweetest face you will ever fall in love with. She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, will have her dental work done shortly, and has a beauty spa day coming up before she goes to her new family. Katie is good natured, gets along with other dogs, is well mannered when she meets people, loves to walk and loves to cuddle. She is potty trained to go outside but will use pad if need be. She has some sight limitations but gets around the house and yard with no problems. She is chubby but is on a diet and walks daily. She can use doggy steps and loves to climb up on the bed, find a warm spot to burrow into and nap. Katie is a quiet, mellow, low maintenance senior who will make someone a great companion. She loves belly rubs and kisses and she listens when you talk to her. Of course being a doxie she may not always DO what you tell her but that is part of the reason why we love our doxies. .
Dachshund Katie is in search of her furever home. Foster mom says she is the sweetest dog she has ever met and foster brothers (Nigel and Mr. Bigglesworth) agree.
