Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sawyer is a young boy who found himself dumped in a shelter, ill with heart worms. This little guy has put on weight and is looking good now that he is healthy and strong! Sawyer is 2-3 years old and weighs 20 pounds which is perfect for his 13-inch frame!
Sawyer has been housebroken from the start and learned to use the dog door quickly. He is crate trained and never makes a fuss about it. One day I was looking every where for him, only to find him where I had put him, sitting quietly in his crate! He has a deep bay for one so small. He does use it when there are critters invading the yard. He will do best in a home that closes the dog door at night as he has been known to go coon hunting in the dark of night!
Sawyer tolerate the other dogs but is not a true pack member. His only joint activity is squirrel chasing along the fence! He will be very happy to be an only dog to someone who needs an active companion to walk with and spend time with. Sawyer can be possessive of his space and would not do well with very small kids in the home either.
He does love to snuggle up next to you and will love to have a family who wants to share the big bed, but he is a good sport about sleeping on a dog bed when he won’t share with others! He is a cute little package with a big personality. A perfect gift for Christmas, so plan on meeting him soon and treating yourself to a great present this year!
