Eli's Story...
Eli is about 2 years old & 50ish lbs. He is very sweet & chill about 50% of the time & a heavy wrestling/play partner with another dog the other 50% of the time. A pretty awesome mix of calm & playfulness :) He can get to wrestling hard with anther dog, but he is very submissive to more alpha dogs. We are working on house training, but he is using my dog door as well. He keeps a clean crate, but he is anxious to get out when a person first arrives home. He rides very well in a vehicle & loads great!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eli, a Manhattan Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
