Mari's Story...
Meet our beautiful torbie girl, Mari! This is the kitten of your dreams! She's friendly, playful, and so beautiful! Full of energy, this girl has had to keep up with her two brothers, Uzu and Chibi, and she is up to the task! Mari would be a great addition for any family who is lucky enough to adopt her! Mari would love to be adopted with one of her brothers, or to join another very young cat or kitten in your home!

If you would like to meet, and possibly adopt Mari, contact Cindy (773)203-0215, or email: cindy@chicagocatrescue.org.

Chicago Cat rescue is dedicated not only to the physical, but the emotional well being of the cats and kittens in our care. Because of that, we only adopt kittens in pairs, or to join another very young cat or kitten. There are absolutely no exceptions!

We only adopt locally. We do not ship cats and kittens under any circumstances.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mari, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
